Large Point Battles

Thursdays I'm not going to have a feature map or figure. I plan on writing whatever comes to mind. This week I'd like to talk a little bit about large battles. These are battles in which each army has a large amount of points on the battlefield. I have tried many different points but large battles are possibly the most fun and strategic battles I have played. I am still in the middle of a battle in which each army has about 3000 points each I think. The battle is very stategic. The battlefield is large but the starting zones aren't very far apart. There are many strategic positions that you must prioritize and spread your force out. The only thing that doesn't work well is that it takes so long. I will post more on this subject later but would apprieciatte any comments on house rules that you have made to go a little quicker. Time-wise though I think 750 point armies are about as big as you can go and stay within a reasonable time limit.
