Every Monday I'm going feature a hero or squad that I'm feeling strongly about either positivly or negatively. I will also post the link to the Heroscapers.com book on that figure. It is a thread all about the hero/squad. I'll also post the strategy article if one exists.
This week the featured squad is the Tarn Viking Warriors. I have always liked thes four little vikings. Since they were one of the lowest point cards in the original master set and after the first few waves, they got a lot of use in my armies. They were in almost every one being used as shock troopers or tough units to tangle up enemy units. Over the past few months though as I have gotten more and more sets the vikings have seen less and less play. There are cheaper units now that have the same uses as the vikings. However, the vikings are still one of my favorite squads because of their durability and because they are just plain good all-around units. So this post is kind of like a funeral or reflection on the vikings. They no longer will see much play but are fun and great units for the beginning scaper.
